Vanilla, Coffee and Nut Jelly

Recipe using: Vanilla Beans

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 Unflavored Gelatin (27 gr)
  • ¾ cup cold water
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 cups of milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 Vanilla Bean
  • 1 cup of strong coffee, freshly made.

Let’s do it! / Procedure / Preparation

  1. Divide the unflavored gelatin into 3 equal parts, hydrate each with ¼ cup of cold water.
  2. Melt a portion of unflavored gelatin in a water bath; Blend this gelatin with the nuts, 1 cup of milk and half the sugar.
  3. Pour into a previously greased jelly mold and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  4. Open the Piñeyro vanilla bean and scrape the seeds; in a saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk along with the vanilla beans and the rest of the sugar until the first boil is released; Remove the pod and let this mixture cool slightly.
  5. Melt another portion of the gelatin and integrate the milk and vanilla mixture. Chill and pour into the jelly mold, over the previous mixture.
  6. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. Melt the last serving of gelatin and mix with the coffee, let it cool for 10 minutes and pour into the mold.
  8. Refrigerate at least 2 hours and unmold.
